The School Day

The School Day

The day begins with Assembly on Mondays and Fridays after which there are eight lessons. On Tuesdays and Thursdays there are nine lessons, and on Wednesday there is a form period.

Breakfast is available as an optional extra from 7.45am and school starts at 8.45 am. The school day ends at 4pm and there is after-school supervision available until 6pm.

A day in the life of…

My day starts with a catch-up with my friends from LEH and Hampton School on the school coach. We get in for registration at 8.45am and then it's straight to double maths, which I love, because we do our exercises on iPads which makes practising questions more fun.

History and then computing (we’re working on coding so we can make robots) takes us to first recess, when everyone seems to have the same idea, dashing to the dining room for a snack. After a bit of down-time, we have a swimming lesson before lunch. I love our indoor pool and its brilliant that everyone can swim: if you didn’t learn before arriving at LEH, you are taught when you get here.

The lunches are great, even for me as a vegetarian. The salad bar works well as we can add as much as we like to our hot food. After eating quickly, I am off to a choir rehearsal. There are so many concerts that there is always something to prepare for.

For the last three periods of the day we have Geography and then double Chemistry. The experiments are always the best bit!

At 4pm, instead of catching the coach home I go to lacrosse squad training. Mum used to pick me up at 6pm, but now my friends and I take the late school coach which leaves at 6pm. We probably shouldn’t do our homework, on the coach…but we do!
