Annual Fund 2018-2019

students in the assembly hall in 1956

LEH’s annual fundraising activities aim to enhance the overall academic experience of our current pupils while at the same time continuing to ensure that talented students can experience the best possible education, regardless of financial obstacles. This year’s campaign focuses on raising funds to refurbish the Nora Nickalls Hall and Junior School Hall.

Both have been an integral part of school life since 1937, where prayers were held on the very first morning that the School opened. Since then, the Halls have been the setting for significant milestones in pupils’ lives; through countless assemblies, prize givings, open days, concerts, exams, House and charity events and Careers and University Fairs.  This continuous use means that the Halls are now looking tired, with faded furnishings, and outdated sound and lighting equipment.

We have set a target of £100k to completely renovate both Halls. We want to transform the Halls with state-of-the-art facilities so that they can be enjoyed now, and by future generations of LEH students, but we cannot do this without you.

No matter the size of your donation, your gift to the Annual Fund is an investment in our students and our future, and we hope that you will help us make this year’s Annual Fund Appeal a resounding success.

Best wishes,

Heather Hanbury - Head Mistress

Paula Mortimer - Head of the Junior School
