Academic Programme
While life for LEH students is about more than exam results, we know they are the key that opens the doors to the universities and careers of their choice.
Students will follow a two-year linear course and sit all of the exams that count towards their A level grades at the end of Upper Sixth.
Students joining the Sixth Form choose between studying three or four A levels, with most also doing the EPQ. They will then continue these courses for the two years through to the summer of their second year when they sit their exams. The Sixth Form is also the time when you can choose between continuing to use your iPad or using a laptop in our 'Bring Your Own Device' (BYOD) scheme.
Currently you can choose four of the following subjects:
- Art
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Classical Civilisation
- Computer Science
- Drama & Theatre
- Economics
- English Literature
- French
- Geography
- German
- Greek
- History
- History of Art
- Latin
- Mandarin
- Mathematics
- Further Mathematics
- Music
- Philosophy
- Physics
- Politics
- Product Design
- Psychology
- Spanish

Mathematics and Further Mathematics count as one choice, although they will result in two A levels.
We do everything we can to make sure students can take their first choice subjects, but very occasionally this isn't possible. We reserve the right to withdraw a subject if fewer than three students want to take a course.
You can read about each subject course in our A level Course Guide below.
