Headington Training Day
The 17th September saw the senior squad from Headington School, Oxford visiting the boathouse for a combined training session. This is the first time we have done this and it was a brilliant success. The idea was to mix up the crews between Headington and LEH athletes to allow the girls to meet other athletes and see how they train. The first outing saw us putting out 12 quads, over 50 girls, to train alongside each other for a bit of competitive paddling. The second outing was the turn of the eights, four of them with 2 quads for the J16s.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it was nice to meet the Headington athletes with whom they have shared so many races with over the years. We are now looking forward to training with them again in December.
