David qualified as a chartered accountant with a predecessor firm of EY. His career has included experience in the accountancy profession and also in banking where he held a number of finance, compliance and audit roles. In 2009 he became Bursar of an international day/boarding school in Surrey, retiring in 2017 when he was appointed to the Board.  David was a Governor of a local primary school for 25 years, 20 years as Chairman. He is also now a Trustee of a local charity providing services to the elderly.  David has a daughter who attended LEH and a son who attended Hampton School.  He has been a Governor at LEH since 2018 and Chair of Governors since September 2019.

Deborah worked for Marks & Spencer for 38 years and specialised in HR as the executive responsible for Reward, Executive Remuneration, Employment Policy and Performance Management. She was a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Deborah was appointed by the judiciary as a lay member of the Central London Employment Tribunals sitting on complex employment cases. She was appointed to the Board of Bournemouth University in August 2022 where she is Vice Chair of the Remuneration Committee and sits on the Finance & Resources Committee and the Honorary Awards Committee. Deborah lives locally to the school and her sons both attended Hampton School.

Sarah read Law at University College London and started her career in the Law before moving to industry.  She is board advisor to L’Oreal UK& Ireland and L’Oreal’s Head of Legal Innovation & Operations and Deputy General Counsel. Sarah also sits on L’Oreal’s Public Affairs and Steering Committee and the Advertising Committee.  As a qualified MHFA England first aider, she is a founding member of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Employee Resource Group.  She is married with two school-age children.

Sampa Bhasin is a business advisor, mentor and leadership coach. Prior to venturing on her own, she was senior Director with EY, leading transactions and specialising in cross border M&A. Sampa is a management postgraduate from IIM, Ahmedabad, India’s premier business school. She is also a certified coach and NLP Master Practitioner. She has more than 28 years of experience in corporate finance, advising global and local corporate and PE houses. She now mentors businesses on their growth strategy and is also a leadership coach and Audit Chair of an international charity. Sampa was a Governor of a local school for more than 10 years prior to becoming a Governor at LEH.

Annabel worked for over 20 years in finance, most recently as Chief Executive Officer & Head of Investor Relations at Lijaro Asset Management (UK) LLP.  Prior to joining Lijaro, Annabel worked in Equity Sales and in the Prime Brokerage division at UBS Investment Bank. In 2022, Annabel trained at KLC School of Design and currently works as a designer in two interior design studios. She holds a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from the University of Bristol.

Following a varied and successful 24-year career as a military engineer, Paul left the army for the public sector in 2001 and held Estates and Operational leadership roles at The British Library and Imperial War Museum.  He joined The National Archives in 2008 as Head of Estates and Facilities, becoming the Operations Director in 2016.  Paul retired as a Senior Civil Servant in June 2021.  He is a Trustee and Council Member at the National Army Museum, and also works at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew.

Martin had a career in marketing and communications including almost 20 years at British Airways plc, latterly as Commercial Director. He was Customer Director at Waitrose from 2017 until December 2022. Martin's three daughters all attended LEH in the Junior and Senior Schools. Martin is a Non-Executive Director of Goodwood, Visit Jersey and Trust Alliance Group and has been an LEH Governor since 2019.

Sarika is a Chartered Accountant and since 2019 is a Founder and COO of Apella Advisors, a business advisory firm which provides strategic communications advice to global clients through the use of data-driven evidence married with expert insight and experience. Prior to Apella, Sarika worked in a number of services-based companies in sectors including architecture, product design and PR. Sarika graduated from the London School of Economics after which she joined PwC where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and spent the first 12 years of her career in the Insurance and Banking Division.

Allison is a former pupil of LEH who studied languages (French and German) at the University of Bath. She now works for the University of Cambridge as Director of Executive Education at the Cambridge Judge Business School, having previously held the roles of Director of Open Programmes and Director of the Cambridge Advanced Leadership Programme. Leadership development and management education became Allison’s passion when she worked for several years at INSEAD in Fontainbleau, France. Allison lives in Cambridge and has a son who is studying at university.

Simon heads up the Policyholder Investment Office in Asset management at Phoenix Group, the FTSE-100 insurer. Prior to that he worked in investment/global banking for c.30 years. For the last 20+ years at Morgan Stanley and HSBC, he was global co-head of the solutions sales business, and sat on the global and European Sales Management committees. He is an economist by training, having attended Cambridge University, and has sat on the investment committee of his College’s Endowment fund for the past 15 years. He has a daughter who attended LEH and a son who attended Eton.

Robert is a Chartered Accountant and was an audit partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers for 25 years until his retirement in 2014. Since then he has been a governor and Chair of the Business Committee at a state primary school, a trustee of Parks for London and an independent member of the audit and risk committee of the care sector charity Marie Curie, the Valuation Office Agency (an executive agency of HMRC) and the National Archives.  He is currently a Trustee of Paintings in Hospitals, a member of the audit and risk committee at Canal and River Trust and Chair of a small charitable foundation helping fund learning opportunities for vulnerable children in Lebanon. Robert has been Governor since 2016.

Barbara was a Primary School Teacher after which she become an Advisory Teacher for Primary Science with the Inner London Education Authority. She subsequently became a lecturer at Roehampton University working with BA Education and PGCE Primary students and supervising Undergraduate and Post Graduate students on their Teaching Practice in schools, both state and independent, across London for 22 years.  Barbara has two daughters both of whom went to LEH Junior and Senior Schools. She was on the Council of the Friends for several years, latterly becoming Chairman. Barbara has been a Governor since 2017.

Dan is CEO of Education Development, a global education and employability organisation working to improve education outcomes around the world. He is an experienced leader in the education and commercial global business sectors. He was previously chief executive of a UK Education technology business, Sparx Learning. Dan has also held several non-executive positions. Until recently he sat on the board of the British Education Supplier Association and currently sits on the Leadership council at the Centre for Universal Education, at the Brookings Institution (Washington) and on the board of Foresight VCT plc. In 2020, he founded the EdTech Evidence Group to support evidence and efficacy in the ed tech sector.

Tim taught in a wide variety of schools over a 37 year career. He was Head of History and then Director of Studies, the deputy head responsible for teaching and learning at Haileybury School for nine years. He led the introduction of the International Baccalureate Diploma Programme there and also at Brentwood School where he completed his classroom career. For 12 years he was governor at Woldingham School, and has also served as Chair of Governors at his local primary school. He is now a senior examiner for the International Baccalaureate, setting and marking papers and is part of the history curriculum review team. He also has had extensive experience of A level examining.
