pupil coach service
Pupilcoach Ltd is a joint trading company wholly owned by Hampton School and LEH. It exists to provide a service to parents requiring help in getting their children to and from school. The service is run on a day-today basis by the Coach Co-ordinator. Coaches are hired from reputable firms who have a good record of service to the schools.
Please click on the coloured dots in the interactive map below to find a bus route near your home or enter your postcode to find your nearest stop. This will give details of times for pick up in the morning and drop off in the afternoon. The routes are colour coded as per the key below.
The service, including overheads, is paid for by those parents using the service. The business plan aims to break even over the course of the financial year and to receive no subsidy from the two schools. Charges are collected termly via the school billing system.
It is the objective of the service to provide a place for every pupil for whom a booking form has been received and who resides within the catchment area. Wherever possible this will be on the route requested by the parent. Where this is not possible the pupil is placed on a waiting list and allocated a seat on the preferred route as soon as a place becomes available.
The pick up and drop off points are notified by the Joint Coach Office to all parents who use the service. Coach drivers are only permitted to stop at these points and are expressly forbidden from deviating from this schedule.
In the mornings pupils are dropped off on the school side of Hanworth Road within easy walking distance of their respective pedestrian entrances. In the afternoon both schools supervise the process of loading coaches within their own grounds.
The termly charge normally covers the whole of the academic year, however, we do reserve the right to make changes in-year and pass on increased costs above that allowed for in the business plan. The termly coach fees for 2020/21 will be based on the number of school days in the term. Accordingly, the fees will be:
Autumn Term - £480
Spring Term - £397
Summer Term - £360
This represents an average termly fee of £412. The charge for the next academic year is notified to parents by no later than May half term.
Late Coach Service
LEH School run a Late Coach service with five routes which leave school at 6.00pm, when the extra-curricular clubs which run after school have finished.
The five routes cover:
- Kew and Chiswick
- Kingston/Coombe Lane/Wimbledon
- Thames Ditton/Esher/Cobham
- Virginia Water/Windsor
We ask that parents sign up at the beginning of each term to book their daughter's weekly seats in advance. These will be charged for the term at a cost of £3.60 per journey (£5 per journey if you are not a Pupilcoach user). You can still use the service as a one-off during the subsequent term, without booking in advance, and will be charged £7 for these journeys (£10 per journey if you are not a Pupilcoach user). Your daughter simply needs to sign the registration sheet as she gets on the coach at 6pm. The charge will be added to your next fee bill.
Please book your daughter's seat through the Parent Portal under 'Forms and Surveys' and if you have any questions regarding booking a place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
