In the Autumn term, our UII girls entered the Young Geographer of the Year competition and produced some fantastic pieces of work. The 2018 Young Geographer of the Year competition was an opportunity for geography pupils to explore the unique qualities of the Arctic, in creative and engaging ways. We are delighted to announce that the judges were very impressed with the entries and Zahra (UIIH) was awarded Highly Commended for her poster on the theme ‘What makes the Arctic unique?’. Zahra and Mrs Frampton attended the awards ceremony at the Royal Geographic Society on 28th November and enjoyed a very special day out. Well done to Zahra and all the girls who worked so hard on their competition entries.
