On 1st October UII went to Butser Ancient Farm. We learnt about the prehistoric ages and we got a sense of the past from stepping inside a replica of an Iron Age hut. The smell of the wood smoke from the central fire was very distinctive.
We completed lots of activities throughout the day. We crushed chalk to make building material for a wall, we sculpted our own clay pots and we even created our own jewellery out of copper wire. I made a spiral ring. It was an enjoyable day spent working outside in the fresh air and picnicking and rolling down the hillside in the sunshine. Thank you to the parents and teachers who came along with us.
