- Sixth Form
The last week was a packed one for sport for our players & swimmers;
On Saturday 16th Nov, 10 Lacrosse teams and 11 Netball teams travelled to Wycombe Abbey School for another fun filled "Super Saturday" of sport. Our U12 Teams were out in force for their first outing wearing the LEH red, and they did themselves and our school proud. The matches were pretty evenly matched across the age groups and LEH came away with 5 wins. Special mention to the U15A, U15B, U13A, U13B and U13C teams who all came away with the big 'W'! In swimming the junior girls competed at the National relay finals at the London Aquatic centre and finished a fantastic 15th place out of 250 schools.
On Sunday we hosted the County round of National schools in Netball where we finished 3rd in the U14, U16 and U19’s group stages, missing out in going through to the play-offs to go to Regionals (only top two of each group go through).
On Monday 18th, 35 swimmers travelled to Guildford High School. It was our first friendly gala with U12 right up to Seniors racing. It was a great friendly and showed a high level of swimming from both schools. We narrowly missed out winning overall, but congratulations to our U14 and senior who won their categories.
On Wednesday of this week, we had a fantastic home game against Kingston Grammar School with the U14 & U15. Despite the cold and bitter wind, the girls applied the principles that they had been doing in practise, and played really well.
This weekend we have the U12, U14 and U16 going to Richmond School Sport Partnership Cross Country Championship in Richmond Park, the U18A Lacrosse at the Challenge Cup in Aldershot and the U18B&C heading to Abbott's Hill Invitational. Best of luck to them all.
We also wanted to extend a huge congratulations to Eesha in our LVI who recently competed in TSKUK (UK National Karate Championships), where she won two silver medals. One medal was for Kumite, the other in individual Kata. A fantastic achievement.
