It was another busy week for our students at sporting fixtures across the last 7 days and despite the challenging weather, we had a great week.

On Wednesday 25th, our U12s, U13s & U14s swimmers travelled to Hammersmith to compete against St Paul Girls School & Notting Hill & Ealing High School. We won overall, with strong performances from everyone.

On Friday we hosted the Richmond Borough Netball tournament, with 8 schools participating from the Borough. There was a great atmosphere on all the courts and LEH missed out getting through to the semi-finals by only one goal. Well done to all the schools that entered. It was a great tournament.

On Saturday last, 28th September, LEH hosted the first Super Saturday verses Benenden School. We had 10 Lacrosse teams and 18 Netball teams compete. On the pitches we had 6 wins and 8 wins on the courts. This is a wonderful result and well done to over 200 girls who represented LEH, you have done yourselves and the school proud!

In rowing, the Seniors raced two divisions at Wallingford Long Distance Sculls; one in WJ18 quads and one in WJ18 doubles. In the quads we placed 5th, 6th, 9th, 11th and 13th. In the doubles we placed 2nd, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 18th, 19th and 20th.

Monday saw our Ski team travel to Hemel Hampstead for the U14 BISS National Indoors Open Ski Championships. Congrats to all the girls who participated with a special mention to Alice who finished 3rd in the and Auriel who finished 6th in the U18s. Great day on the slopes. Meanwhile back on our courts, our U13 A-F Netball teams played Notting Hill and Ealing. Fortunately, we managed to just about beat the torrential rain. Fantastic play from all our girls with only 2 losses.

On Tuesday evening we welcomed all the parents from III and LIV to our Sports Parents Evening, in order to introduce the new team and meet the new parents. Feedback was that it was an informative evening and it was great to be able to chat to parents afterwards and answer any questions they had.

We also had a very strong start to the gymnastics year with our squad selections taking place last week, and the girls working extremely hard right from the word go.
