Last Thursday 12 March we had our U12 & U13s compete at the Swimming London League North Final. Congratulations to all who took part. The swimmers involved have managed to qualify LEH to represent the North of London at the London swim league grand final!

On Friday March 13th, the Senior swimmers went to the Bath Cup at the London Aquatic Centre. The pupils raced in both the 200m freestyle and 200m medley relays placing 12th and 10th nationally. This was a fantastic last race for the Senior swimmers who are leaving LEH this year.

On Sunday 15th March our 2nd and 3rd Senior Lacrosse teams took part the England Lacrosse rescheduled National Schools' Lacrosse Championships at St Swithun's School in Winchester. The 3rd Team had a tough section but showed excellent resilience and made it through to the quarter-finals of the 3rd team tournament. Unfortunately, they faced a strong St Catherine's 3rd team (who were the eventual winners) and that is where their journey ended. Our 2nd team showcased lovely skill and determination throughout the day, coming top of their section. In the 'Sweet 16' they beat St Bartholomew', leading to a strong win against Putney High in the quarter-finals. They faced Morton Hall in the semi-finals and despite a 3 - 1 score line in favour to Morton Hall the team battled back but fell short 3 - 4 in the end. We are so proud of all who took part and congratulations on a strong finish to the season!

With the U12s & U13’s Lacrosse County Tournament at the weekend being cancelled, their season came to an unfortunate swift end. Determined to keep the season going a little longer, the U13’s final training session on Monday was turned into LEH’s very own inter-team tournament. Great performances from all teams involved who showed massive improvement since September, but our victors were… the blue team! Congratulations to all on a brilliant season and we look forward to next year.

On Monday we also had the U14A&B had their final matches of the year against Grey Court.  They finished on a positive note winning both games against a competitive team and we are already looking forward to next years’ season!

There was a wonderful effort by all U12 teams on Monday against Surbiton High School. Their great playing highlighted all the skills that we have been working on over the year. Special mention to the B team who at times played with great flair that made their coach very proud.

We also brought forward our U5 Inter-House netball games to Wednesday of this week. We had a lot less players than usual, but the teams threw themselves into a fantastic House tournament with lots of great netball played.

Sadly we then had a lot of predictable cancellations for the rest of the week; Tuesday’s U12& U13 County finals, Wed’s Swimming vs St Pauls and Thursday’s U15 Netball with Notting Hill.

All fixtures have now stopped and we hope that all pupils and parents stay safe in these uncertain times.
