On Thursday 30th January, our U15’s Lacrosse team travelled to St Paul’s to play in the U15’s Indoor Lacrosse Tournament. It was a very  tough tournament and they played very well, however after a tight tournament, they just missed the podium and finished in 4th place. A very well done to all those that took part.

It was great to see all the UIV students competing for their team in the Inter-house Netball last Friday afternoon. We saw Fitzwilliam Team 1 and De Vere Team 2 take the overall wins but it was an afternoon filled with fun and an opportunity to see all the pupils play some competitive sport.

U18B & C Lacrosse hosted Walthamstow Hall on Saturday. Playing their first team, the U18B’s unfortunately did not win but showed good battle and hard work. It was a great fixture leading up to Nationals.

The U18C’s gave a brilliant performance, winning the first half and going into the second half fighting. Applying pressure and communicating as a unit they held Walthamstow off scoring a goal for 12 minutes. Unfortunately Walthamstow took the win 6-4 but incredibly proud of the teams continual improvement over the season.

First Lacrosse team travelled to Haberdashers' Aske for the South East Finals facing the top schools in the country – it was a “tough day at the office” but lots to learn about the importance of resilience and hustle ahead of National Schools.

We had  six U12 netball teams playing against Surbiton High on Monday evening. They were greatly contested games and some fantastic netball played by both sides. Unfortunately, we were not the victors on the night but it was great to see so many involved.

Our U15A&B Netball hosted to Guildford HS on very cold Wednesday evening. LEH showed some great ball skills but GHS were the stronger side on the night.

This weekend is a busy one where we are hosting the BSGA Regional Competition over two days. Best of luck to our U14 gymnasts that will be taking part on Sunday.  We are also very much looking forward to hosting another Super Saturday with Downe House where we will have over 300 players out on the courts and pitches. Best of luck to everyone! Could we please ask that any parents that are coming to the games, do not bring their dogs with them. Many thanks
