Last weekend was a busy one with fixtures across both days with a “Super Saturday” planned against St Swithun’s. Unfortunately we were obliged to cancel the Lacrosse games at the last minute due to unsafe pitches for play following a very wet week combined with freezing night time temperatures. Once the netball courts had thawed out on Saturday morning, it was full steam ahead with three rounds of Netball for 18 teams in total. They were superbly contested games and it was fantastic to see our tactical game being put into practice, enabling some great play. A special mention to our U18’s and U12’s who excelled.

Sadly again due to pitch conditions at North London Collegiate School on Sunday, the Lacrosse County tournament had to be cancelled. We will wait to see if this is to be rescheduled again.

Monday kicked off an action packed week, with 20 students across the Junior and the Senior School taking part in the Guilford Cross Country Relays. The students demonstrated great determination and support for their other team mates during the event. Congratulations to the U15 team Eloise, Tabatha, Daya and Scarlett who won the U15 event. A special mention goes to Thea and Emily for stepping in last minute on the day.

On Tuesday our U13A&B Netball players were at home to St Pauls. Both sides played so well but congrats to St Paul’s who had the stronger teams on the night.  On Wednesday, we welcomed St Paul’s once again for some really exciting matches for our seniors and U15A&B netball teams. They were closely fought matches and congratulations to our 1st team and U15A who won their games.

Our U14CDEF netball teams were also away on Wednesday evening where it was great to get a run out against Surbiton. Some fantastic play by all and we look forward to our next games.

On Wednesday during the day our U14A&B teams headed to the Lacrosse County Tournament at St Pauls which was a huge success for our players. The U14B came second overall and the U14A team won. Congrats to Daya and Sarah who were the team MVPs. Thank you to St Helens for organising this tournament and for St Pauls for hosting it.

We wished the best of luck to our cross country runners who headed to Harrow for the Middlesex Cross Country Championships on Thursday. At the time of writing, we don’t have their results so we will report back in next week’s review.

This Saturday we are home to St Mary’s Ascot with seven netball teams playing. We are also hosting the South Schools Lacrosse Tournament. Best of luck to our Senior team who will be taking part!
