Back to a busy week for our netballers and lacrosse players this week!

Our first lacrosse fixtures of 2022 started with all 12 teams playing away against St Catherine’s, Bramley on Saturday.  It was a competitive morning with over 250 pupils playing for LEH.  All players played extremely well and despite several losses we had one draw for our U12C team.

On Monday we had over 80 pupils from the Thirds play in eight teams against Surbiton High School.  It was a great evening of competitive netball with 4 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses.  Well done in particular to the U12 B, D G and H team for their impressive wins.  A great start to the New Year.

On Tuesday we had 2 x U15 and 4 x U14 teams playing against Surbiton High School. Matches were extremely competitive, and some fantastic netball played. Our U15s narrowly lost with our A team only losing by 1. The U14s ABCD all played very competitive matches and demonstrated outstanding skills for their first fixture of the year. We look forward to seeing them in action again soon.

The U14 lacrosse teams were invited to the Tri Counties Tournament, hosted by St Paul's on Wednesday. Facing some tough opposition the pupils had a busy day ahead. The A team had five games facing Wycombe Abbey, St Paul's, St James' and North London Collegiate, where they won four games and the B team had four games against  Wycombe, North London Collegiate and St Paul's, winning three matches. After a sterling performance, both teams placed 2nd in their respective competitions. A fantastic day and big well done to all the students who played.

It was wonderful to have so many L5 playing Interhouse yesterday on a very cold afternoon of lacrosse. The pupils' spirits were high and full of energy, and they all performed very well, demonstrating a great level of skill across the board. House competition at its best! The A team group was a tightly contested affair were the winners Tyrconnel won by 7 goals. In the B team group, it was similarly a close-run contest with De Vere winning by a point. The overall winning house of the lacrosse competition was Tyrconnel only beating both De Vere and Holles on goal difference.

Well done to all that took part.

Tomorrow we are hosting both Walthamstow Hall & St Albans for a lacrosse triangular. With over 350 players taking part, we wish our 10 teams all the best for a great fixture.
