On 18th November, the Winter Concert at the Rose Theatre was an extraordinary celebration of the breadth of musical talent at LEH. From the first dynamic blast of Bernstein’s Candide Overture to the stunning final performance from Cantata (accompanied by a dazzling confetti canon), it was a whirlwind of a concert. Our Thirds gave an entrancing world première of ‘About Time’, written especially for them by our Composer-in-Residence, Brendan Ashe. Three-part harmony throughout, with soloists, dancers and band – it was quite a production! The evening sizzled with all sorts of highlights – all played to a packed Rose Theatre. Congratulations to all our dedicated, energetic and charismatic musicians and their teachers.
