As part of the Eco Schools initiative, we are taking part in the Great Big School Clean. The challenge is to, as a country, complete a colossal million miles of litter-picking… that’s to the moon and back, twice!

Here are some photos from the Ecology Club, who started the challenge by picking up litter in the Science Garden.

After the Ecology Club tidied up the Nature Garden, it was the Eco Squad’s turn to take on The Big School Clean, picking up any litter in the hedge homes and promoting the cause to their classes.

The Great Big School Clean is taking place until Friday 11th June, so please email names, photos (if you want to) and the amount of time spent litter picking to the school office before then. Then we will count up the number of minutes and hours and work out the distance travelled by the whole school. We are up to 27 miles already!
