Supporting Student Growth and Wellbeing: Recent Highlights

At LEH, we’re dedicated to preparing our students for their futures, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to make informed choices and thrive in all aspects of their lives. Here are some of the exciting sessions and activities our students have been involved in this half term:

Unifrog Careers Sessions

Our Lower 5 students participated in a Unifrog Careers session led by Mrs. Brown, Joint Head of Lower 5 and Teacher of Classics. These sessions are designed to help students identify their strengths and explore how this self-awareness can guide their future choices and pathways.

Our Lower 6 students also took part in Unifrog Careers lessons mirroring the sessions held with Lower 5. These lessons provide valuable insights into personal strengths, helping students as they begin considering potential career paths and higher education opportunities.

Wellness Talk with The Nutrition Guru

Our Upper 5 pupils benefited from an inspiring talk by Tina Lond-Caulk, known as The Nutrition Guru. Tina shared practical tips on making small, manageable tweaks to daily routines to enhance physical and mental health. She also highlighted strategies to optimise cognitive performance - an invaluable resource for students navigating their busy GCSE year.

Financial Literacy Talks

The Upper Sixth took part in the second of two financial literacy sessions delivered by Mr. Michael Berkovitch, LEH’s Director of Operations. Last week, students explored pensions, investments, and future planning. This week, the focus shifted to understanding loans and mortgages - key concepts for managing finances when purchasing a car or home.

These sessions are part of our holistic approach to education, ensuring students leave LEH not only academically prepared but also with the practical knowledge and self-awareness they need to succeed in life.
