IAPS Swimming Gala

On 6^th February, a small group of selected swimmers travelled a long way to the rather impressive Dulwich college for the IAPS regional qualifiers. This is a highly prestigious national event and, should our times be fast enough, we could qualify to swim in the National Finals held at the Aquatics Centre at the Olympic park in London. The girls were all very nervous but had trained hard and were determined to do their best. As a team, the girls performed exceptionally well with some excellent results and pleasing times in both the relays and individual events. I am extremely proud of all the girls who took part and the mature manner in which they represented the school.

Richmond Borough Swimming Gala Heats at Pools on the Park Richmond

On 13^th February 10 girls took part in the Independent school heats of the Richmond borough gala. We had some exceptional performances in both individual and relay events, obtaining several 1^st & 2^nd place positions. The squadron relay team qualified for the final that was held last night and finished 2^nd out of 24 schools, bringing home some lovely shiny silver medals. We are looking forwards to the finals next month, well done girls!
