Recognising and Celebrating Entrepreneurial Spirit in Young Women

The Atherton Award was launched in March 2019 to recognise entrepreneurial spirit at Beneden, but by 2022, it is hoped the competition will reach over one hundred girls' schools in the UK, both state and independent.

From competing a coding course, to inventing a new product, to starting a business, all pupils aged 11+ are encouraged to apply.

The winner of the annual prize will receive a trophy, £500 towards the next phase of their journey, and a day of mentoring with Amber Atherton or someone in her network.

"The ultimate goal of the award is to incentivise more young women in the UK to enter STEM careers and entrepreneurship. To reach the UN Global Goal No. 5 we can begin to achieve gender equality through more female owned businesses."  says Amber Atherton.

Application forms are available from Mr Brittain. Deadline 24th April.
