On 26th March, Emma (UIID) and I, LEH Juniors Pupil Parliament representatives, travelled to Strawberry Hill for a fun day out. When we arrived we had a tour of the house and went into the Round Room and repeated a line from Horace Walpole’s book, The Castle of Otranto, about the ‘long labyrinth of darkness.’ Some people felt strange sensations in this room, as it is cylindrical and your body acts as a speaker. We then had lunch following by a creative workshop where an author and illustrator came in. At the end of the afternoon they gave Emma and I a book called ‘Parrots who live in the City’ for the school library. Thank you to everyone who helped organise this trip.
