Congratulations to LEH's Upper Fifth pupils for achieving a superb set of GCSE results today.
Highlights from this year’s GCSE results include:·
- 65% of all results achieved were grade 9.
- 96% of all results were grade 7 and above.
- More than 20% of pupils achieved straight grade 9s in at least ten subjects.
The year group achieved remarkable results across core GCSE subjects, with 95% of English Language, 93% of Maths, and 92% of Biology exams achieving grades 8-9. In the wider curricular, a number of subjects achieved 100% of 8-9 grades, including Geography, Music and Drama.
LEH Head Mistress, Rowena Cole, said: “What a fabulous day for our GCSE students who have achieved spectacular results. Everyone at LEH feels great pride and we are delighted that our pupils’ hard work and the fantastic expertise and support of our teachers has been rewarded with the highest marks.
“Results are an important enabler for the future, but they are, of course, only ever a part of the story. Our pupils have achieved impressive results while fully embracing all aspects of life at LEH and playing a big part in the culture and community of our school.
“We look forward to welcoming our students back for Sixth Form in September, for what we know will be the most exciting chapter of their education so far”.
This year’s GCSE results follow the success of last week’s excellent A level results, and we are all excited as we look ahead to our next school year which will also see LEH launch a new school strategy.
