On 16th November, the U10 A took part in the Newland House Netball Tournament. It was a chilly day but everyone was excited to get on court. There were quite a few schools that we hadn’t played against before, such as Orchard House and Bute House. We had to play 8 minutes per game. I would like to say it was an easy tournament, but it was not! However, we kept going even though things did not quite go our way and we learnt a lot about playing against tough opposition. I want to thank all my teammates for such an excellent tournament and especially Mrs Harding and Miss Dunckley for their help. Mrs Harding’s secret tournament treats are Jelly Babies but by the end of this one, she did not have any left!

In the Newland House Invitational U10 Netball Tournament, the team started extremely well narrowly losing to Newland House 0-1. In the other matches, they worked hard on marking tightly and driving in front of their defender. They improved their defending awareness and reactions, especially in the circle but need to continue to increase their determination to win the ball and make the right decision when in possession. Despite some very tough and experienced opposition, the girls worked very hard, kept positive and were a credit to LEH. I was very proud of them all. Well done to all the team and to the Captain, Uma, who was Player of the Tournament.
