LII have really enjoyed their animation days this week, bringing to life their class reader ‘Journey to the River Sea’. They spent the morning creating a story board, designing their background and drawing the characters. In the afternoon, they were in the hall with tripods and iPads ready to film.

They learnt how to move the characters really slowly in order to capture their story. The aim was to take 700 frames in the afternoon, but everyone soon realised that this was not as easy as it sounded. Taking it in turns to be the director, camera operator and animators, the time seemed to fly by. Now, in computing they will combine all the clips to make their own animated film of their class reader.
