LEH’s Model United Nations (MUN) Conference, held at LEH from Friday, 24 January to Sunday, 26 January 2025 at LEH, promises to be a transformative platform for discussing the critical issues surrounding global equality and the empowerment of women. In a world where women and girls face systemic challenges that impede their access to rights, opportunities, and protection, this year's MUN conference invites participants to explore solutions to pressing topics, ranging from violence in conflict zones to equitable access to sustainable technologies. We are excited to welcome student delegates from across the country and internationally from Paris and the UAE.

Since its introduction in 2007, MUN has grown significantly at LEH, involving students from the Thirds to Upper Sixth. This reflects not only a growing interest in international diplomacy but also a deeper recognition of the importance of gender equality and women’s empowerment on the global stage. The MUN experience has consistently equipped students with the skills needed to engage with complex global issues, negotiate diverse viewpoints, and collaborate towards common solutions. This year, the focus on women’s empowerment underscores the need for urgent, coordinated action to ensure that gender equality becomes a reality for women worldwide.

As the delegates convene for this year’s conference, they will be stepping into the shoes of diplomats who shape the future of women’s rights globally. Through thoughtful deliberation, action-oriented proposals, and collaborative dialogue, the 2025 MUN Conference promises to be a defining moment in the ongoing global movement for women’s equality. Topics of this year’s Resolutions include: The Question of Protecting Women Against Violence in Conflict Zones, The Question of Economic Inequality Within Western Countries, The Question of Ending Child Marriage, The Question of the Impact of Social Media on Political Processes, The Question of Militarisation of the UN, The Question of Equitable Access to Sustainable Technology and Resources for Developing Nations and much more.

The MUN conference is not only an academic exercise but also an opportunity to make a real difference in the world. By focusing on critical issues like violence in conflict zones, economic inequality, child marriage, and access to resources, delegates will contribute to a more equitable future for all. The questions discussed at this year's conference highlight the challenges and opportunities in empowering women globally, and as future leaders, delegates have the power to turn ideas into impactful solutions. Good luck to all the delegates involved!
