Sixth Form students at LEH are celebrating today after achieving top grades in this year's A level exams.

We are incredibly proud of the superb results achieved by our students, who demonstrated intellectual curiosity and resilience in their learning throughout their time at LEH.

This year:

  • 34% of grades achieved were A*
  • 75% of grades achieved were A*-A
  • 94% of grades achieved were A*-B
  • 17 students achieved straight A* grades
  • More than half of all A levels taken in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, History, German, Latin and Art were awarded A* grades.

Our students now look forward to taking up offers across a fantastically diverse range of university courses, which span more than thirty different subjects, including: biomedical genetics, medicine, architecture, liberal arts, history, veterinary medicine, dentistry, fashion design technology and music.

Some of the highlights from this year’s results include:

  • Twins, Abigail and Madeleine Dawes, who are both Academic and Music Scholars and who represented LEH in the first lacrosse team, each achieved four A* grades in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry respectively.

  • Competitive swimmer Emma Bhugun, who has represented Mauritius at international level, achieved A* grades in Economics and Geography and As in Maths and Spanish and will be reading Geography with Economics at LSE.

LEH Headmistress, Rowena Cole, said: “This is an excellent set of results. We are very proud of our students and the enthusiasm, hard work and mature approach they have brought to their learning, as well as the expertise, dedication and support of all the fantastic teachers and staff at LEH.

“Getting to know our impressive Upper Sixth students over the last year has been a real highlight for me and it’s been a privilege to experience all they have brought to many different aspects of life at LEH – as inspiring role models, courageous thinkers, outstanding musicians, determined sportswomen and talented creative artists.

“As well as taking away excellent A level results today, we are proud that they leave LEH as exceptional humans who are undaunted and optimistic about their futures. All of us at LEH look forward to seeing the significant impact we know they will have in their careers and lives ahead.”
