The sun shone brightly for our Junior School Arts Festival on the Friday afternoon before half term. The Arts Festival is a community event and a testament to some very impressive teamwork! It has been an exciting time, with pupils, teachers, and teaching assistants working hard to prepare for the big event. The girls have been putting the final touches to their artwork, practising their performances and helping to organise the work on display.
On the day we were treated to an hour of various musical performances in the Assembly Hall with Bold as Brass and String Superheroes amongst others performing to a packed audience. U1, L2 and U2 also thrilled us with their performance poetry whilst on the outside stage alongside the F1/U1 Dance Club, there was Cheerleading, Junior Holles Singers and performances from our Rock Star Club and Banging on Club!
Inside the different classrooms, pupils displayed their written work, along with video's showing their monologues, silent movies and adverts they have composed this year. The Dining Hall was transformed into an Art Gallery for the afternoon with lovely displays of pupils artwork including the U1 Flowers blooming in contrast and the L2 Foodscapes. The Music room showcased the different music workshops the girls have taken part in this year from African drumming to the U2 Gamelan visit! Other attractions around the school were the displays in the Computing room, showing the L2 animation films to the Science classroom with U2 Animals and their adaptions display.
The whole afternoon was rounded off with an uplifting performance of 'Believe' with the whole school singing together with all their parents as a fantastic audience out on the lawn!
We are so proud of all the girls' efforts and achievements. A big thank you to our pupils, teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff for their commitment and enthusiasm. Special thanks to Mrs Yates for coordinating the entire event. Finally, to you, our parents, thank you for joining the celebrations and for your continued support.

During the Arts Festival, we all gathered to celebrate what we have done over the year. My favourite part was showing my parents my work. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, and everyone was very happy to be there!

I loved the Arts Festival, I loved seeing all the artwork on display, but my favourite part was watching everyone perform, especially the music bands. Everyone had put a lot of work into it. Smiles were on every single person’s face from pupils to adults. It was a fantastic day.

My first Arts Festival at LEH was amazing! It was wonderful to perform and watch other groups put effort into the brilliant performances they had prepared. The atmosphere was fabulous with the sun shining through the clouds and many faces smiling. My favourite performance was the Cheerleading show.

I was proud of all the Foodscapes that our year created.

At the Arts Festival I really enjoyed singing in Junior Holles Singers and doing the monologues in English. I was glad that my parents were there to see it and my favourite part of the day was listening to Rockstar band as they were amazing.

I liked listening to all the music performances, especially the Wind Band. I loved showing my parents around and I loved the way all the artwork was displayed. I also really liked the displays of movies (made by us) in the classroom.
