Kitty Whittington comes to LEH

Last week, the U2s were off-timetable for their Production Week, rehearsing for their performance of ‘Kitty Whittington’. It was an amazing week, jam-packed with acting, singing and dance rehearsals in every possible room! The girls did an amazing job and were an absolute pleasure to work with, and their hard work certainly paid off as they did two excellent performances on Friday, firstly to the school and then to their parents in the evening. The audiences of both performances were blown away by their talent, and thoroughly enjoyed watching the show. It was such a fantastic week, and I am really proud of each and every one of them for their hard work and dedication.

This week was the U2 production week. Despite having such a short period in which to rehearse and learn our lines for our production of Kitty Whittington, I think we all did immensely well and listened and helped each other a great deal. I really hope that tonight's audience will enjoy the enthralling and beguiling production, especially given that the whole of U2 have worked their socks off to create something so fantastic. Miss Shepherd has helped us to create a memorable production that will probably knock your socks off. Also, she provided a heap of props and costumes which she spent her time and effort creating. She was also accompanied by our teachers who helped us on set, Mrs Deverson, Mrs Evans and Mrs Wright (who is an incredible dancer) and many others who helped us to improve our singing and dancing. In conclusion, this week has been enjoyable yet hectic at the same time, but this outstanding production wouldn’t have been half as good without everyone’s collaboration and determination. To put the cherry on top, a live professional band have been invited to play this evening which is so very exciting! Huge congratulations to U2, the live band, all the teachers and especially to the awesome Miss Shepherd for making this week one of the best ever!
