We devote a great deal of time and effort at LEH to pastoral care, supporting the girls’ physical and mental health and wellbeing. Alongside our PSHE programme, assemblies and workshops throughout the year, this year, on Tuesday 9 October, we celebrated our first Wellbeing Day in the Junior School. The girls enjoyed various activities such as feet painting, marble runs, mindful colouring, various bead making sessions, Lego building and clay sculpting. Outdoor events involved miniature garden making, bubble blowing and parachute games. Mrs Hide and Mrs Bass brought in two very well behaved visitors for the morning, Rio and Dexter, who charmed everyone in assembly and encouraged the girls to take part in a spot of dog walking – or racing! Everyone was very excited by the arrival of a visiting mobile farm which included a pony, a calf, sheep, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks and chicks. Thank you to all the staff who helped to organise such a lovely day for everyone in the Junior School. Special thanks to Mrs Yates who had the unenviable job of timetabling the activities, girls, teachers and animals!
