On 21st-28th October, nine LEH and seven Hampton Sixth Form Spanish students travelled to the beautiful city of Granada for a week of work experience placements, cultural visits and language lessons. This was a wonderful learning experience for everyone involved, and some eclectic highlights included a tour of the Alhambra, a flamenco evening in a gypsy cave, a visit to the FC Granada football stadium, a morning spent reading Lorca’s poetry outside his summer house – and huge portions of chocolate con churros, of course! Our students worked hard in their placements, studied enthusiastically in their lessons, and were fascinated by the Arabic influence in the region.
