17 LEH pupils, representing the delegations of Jordan, UAE, Cuba and USA, took part in the Epsom College MUN Conference on Saturday 4th March.

All delegates spoke confidently and convincingly from the perspective of their countries on a host of pertinent topics including the combat of religious intolerance, the use of private military contractors, the exploitation of oil resources in Antarctica, the right to safe and ethical abortions and the repatriation of cultural artefacts.

We are pleased to report that five of our pupils won awards:

Zoya - Highly Commended Delegate, Sci-Fi Committee (USA)

Maya - Highly Commended Delegate, Health Committee (Cuba)

Gigi - Highly Commended Delegate, Human Rights Committee (UAE)

Lowri - Highly Commended Delegate, Human Rights Committee (USA)

Mariya - Outstanding Delegate, Health Committee (USA)
