Celebrating GCSE Success
Students and staff celebrated another year of outstanding GCSE results, including an impressive 93.8% of the results at grades A* and A, with 64% of the results at the highest grade of A*, and 99.6% at grade B or higher. Following on from last week's strong performance at A level, with 97.8% of passes at A*, A or B grades, the girls at LEH have continued to excel in public exams.
A group of 20 girls achieved 10 or more A* grades, including 2 pupils with 11 A* grades. Pupil Chloe Cheung said, “I am so delighted by my results, I never expected to get 11 A*s. I am looking forward to starting my A Levels and eventually studying Law”.
Head Mistress Mrs Gillian Low commented, “Once again I am in the proud position of announcing another set of outstanding GCSE results as LEH continues to reach the highest levels of academic excellence. Our girls balance their studies with a variety of extra-curricular activities in sport, music, drama and other interests, and their all-round enthusiasm for learning is reflected by these wonderful results. The LEH staff are remarkable for their continued commitment and support for the school, enabling pupils to fulfil their potential.”
