Public Benefit at International Level
The school is involved at an international level with intiatives such as student exchanges and charitable giving.
- The international pupil exchanges organised through the Modern Foreign Language department with France, Germany and Spain are of benefit to students from both countries, fostering mutual respect and a greater understanding of cultural diversity, as well as promoting linguistic excellence.
- The school regularly gives money to international charities.
- The school has forged a link with Naganyonyi Girls' School in Jinja, Uganda. In May 2009, the Head Master of NGS, Mr Joseph Mwegombi, visited LEH for two weeks, fully funded by LEH, experiencing life in the UK. In addition to addressing the school regarding the links between the two schools, Mr Mwegombi taught lessons and accompanied school trips. In July 2010, two members of staff and two sixth formers visited the school for three weeks, undertaking a number of educational projects. Pupils also raised funds to send to the school, along with books for the school library and other educational equipment.
