The Inspection, which took place over four days in late September reviewed a broad spectrum of school life, including the educational experience provided, the quality of the teaching, the pastoral care and the effectiveness of leadership and management.
Throughout the report the School’s strengths are highlighted:
- Pupils’ learning and achievements are outstanding. Pupils are motivated, keen to learn and gain as much as possible from all the school has to offer. They grow up to be confident, poised and articulate young women.
- The staff have created a happy school in which the quality of pastoral care is outstanding, in line with the school’s aim.
- Relationships are excellent and a sense of community is evident throughout the school.
- The school is outstandingly successful in promoting the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of its pupils.
- The school fosters outstanding links with the parents and the community.
- Leadership and management of outstanding quality are reflected in the fulfilment of the school’s aim and ethos.
The Head Mistress, Mrs Low commented, “I am delighted that this report has recognised the outstanding efforts made by everyone at The Lady Eleanor Holles School to create a school which not only provides an excellent educational experience but has been judged as a place where pupils are happy and speak of the school with affection and pride. This report is a wonderful tribute to the dedication of the teaching and support staff, who work tremendously hard to create a community in which our pupils can flourish.”
