The author, Michelle Paver had a captive audience when she visited the school in early October to give a talk to the Thirds about her writing and the inspiration for her stories. 

The author has created an enthralling, fast paced series called "The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness" which tells the story of Torak, a young boy from an ancient hunter-gatherer tribe and draws on Paver’s passion for animals, anthropology and the distant past. A long queue of avid readers quickly formed for a book signing session and the girls were delighted to meet one of their favourite authors in person.
