Following the news last week of the best ever A level results, girls are today celebrating the best ever GCSE results with an incredible 93.7% of the results overall at grades A and A*, and with 72 of girls achieving all A and A* grades. With an outstanding 63.6% of the results at the highest grade of A* there were many reasons for the girls to be proud of their achievements.
Isabel Carter was amongst a group of 20 girls from the school who achieved 10 A* grades and said, “I am just really really happy for everyone today and I looking forward to starting in the Sixth Form next term, where I am going to study Maths, Economics, French and History.”
In the Lawson family there were double celebrations with twins Elena and Rachel achieving a clean sweep of A and A* grades between them.
The results reflect the continued academic excellence attained by pupils at the school, combined with outstanding performance in a wide range of sport, music, drama and other activities. Head Mistress Mrs Gillian Low commented, “The results announced today are very impressive and we are thrilled and proud of all the girls have achieved. It is wonderful to see that all their hard work and commitment has been rewarded and that they will move forward with great confidence into their Sixth Form studies.“
