Girls from the Lady Eleanor Holles School were celebrating after achieving impressive A Levels results, the best ever achieved at the school. Excluding General Studies, over 78% of the results were A Grades, and over 96%, A and B Grades.
Amongst the delighted girls, Sarah Sheppard was thrilled to achieve 4 Grade A passes and is going on to Cambridge to study French and German. Sarah was particularly thrilled to receive a letter from the Director General of the AQA Examination Board informing her that she is amongst a group of candidates who scored one of the top five marks in History this summer and so this is an exceptional result.
Another pupil, Laura Martin was also celebrating receiving 4 A Grades and being amongst a group of candidates who scored one of the top five marks in Geography. Laura is planning to take a gap year to work in Canada before going to the University of St Andrews to study Geography.
These exceptional results once again place The Lady Eleanor Holles School at the forefront of achievement in academic excellence and rank it among the top schools in the country. Head Mistress Mrs Gillian Low commented, “These superb results are a great tribute to the girls and to the expertise and dedication of the staff. We are very proud of all they have achieved, and are sure that they will have very exciting futures ahead of them.”
