Congratulations to Florence Ecclestone, Upper 1, who was amongst the winners of a design competition for local schools dreamt up by Budgens to promote the use of long life shopping bags. 

It was an opportunity to combine design skills whilst learning more about environmental issues at the same time. The 5 winning designs have been printed onto cotton shopping bags and each school has been given a quantity to sell for fund raising towards environmental projects or charities such as Water Aid.

Well done to Florence and all the other girls who entered.
