Members of Upper 1 enjoyed a visit to the Weald and Downland Museum in Sussex.
Set in 50 acres of beautiful countryside, the museum offers a wonderful selection of exhibits- a majestic timber framed farmhouse from Kent; a striking market hall from Hampshire; a Victorian school; a medieval shop; carpenters, plumbers and brickmakers workshops; barns; a granary and a tread wheel from the South Downs.
The girls has the chance to see stone ground flour being produced at the working water mill as well as visiting the medieval kitchens.
Outside, the rare and traditional breeds of farm livestock, including working horses, cattle, sheep and poultry were a popular attraction.
Thank you to everyone involved in organising the visit.
