There was great excitment in the Science Room when a clutch of chicken eggs which had been carefully incubated, hatched out and quickly turned into a brood of fluffy chicks.
"We are keeping baby chicks in the science room. Most of them have hatched already, but there are still two left to hatch. One of them had a really tough time getting out of its egg.
When it got out it had bits of shell stuck to it and couldn't stand up and all the other chicks were standing on top of it. So Mrs Gazetas had to wash it off and pick the bits of shell off. But now it's just as healthy and happy as all the others and very bold". Ellie, Form 1B
