Geography Field Trip to Iceland

Girls in the Lower Sixth travelled to Reykjavik, Iceland during the summer as part of their geography field studies.

One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Glacier Lagoon, Jokulsarlon, which is the best known and the largest of the glacial lakes in Iceland where huge icebergs can be viewed.

The group also visited the Blue Lagoon, which is perhaps the most supernatural looking body of water on Earth situated in the middle of a large lava field. Thanks to Ms Coggin and Miss Matthews for accompanying the trip.
