The Artist's Journey

An evening seminar entitled 'The Artist's Journey' with leading figures from the Arts, including several past LEH pupils, was held on June 26th. The seminar was well attended by girls from the Upper School and their parents.

The speakers were:

  • Gordon Richardson, Fashion Design Director - Topman for Arcadia Group
  • Greg Hilty - Director of Plus equals, an agency dedicated to brokering collaborations between businesses and artists
  • Peter Carrow - Graphic Designer, Carrow Design

and past pupils:

  • Letizia Treves -  Director, Old Master Paintings, Sothebys
  • Cecelia Treves- Exhibition Curator, Royal Academy
  • Charlotte Thomas - 6th year student at the Architecture Association
  • Laura Heritage - Fine Art graduate from Nottingham University
  • Alice Dupre - Illustration and Animation student at Kingston University
  • Catherine Pockson - History of Art student at Bristol University

The speakers enthusiastically described their career paths including a graphical presentation by Peter Carrow.

At the end of the seminar Georgina Page, who is planning to study at the Chelsea School of Arts thanked all the speakers for providing such an insightful account of their careers.

Guests were able to view a selection of current art work afterwards and a collection was taken in aid of CHASE, the school's chosen charity for the year.
