In Geography we have been studying the issues behind the Fashion Industry.  Such issues include sweatshops, recycling materials, using organic materials, fake goods, and anti-fur.  As a final activity in this topic, the upper fourths gathered at the beginning of Feburary to present an ‘Ethical fashion show’.

Each class had a different theme, for example casual or evening wear. Every group had to make a portfolio and their clothes. The portfolios consisted of information about ethical fashion, sketches of clothes and final pictures of the products.

When the big day came, the clothes were modelled and handouts were presented explaining each group’s choice. There was a long catwalk for the models to show their merchandise and music playing in the background. This event was such a success that it was repeated to the whole school.
