The LEH Jazz, Pop and Rock Concert took place on 6th  March.  This is the second year the concert has taken place and we are delighted that this event now seems to have established itself as a regular feature in the school’s musical year.  A large number of girls from across the age range took part performing music from an impressive range of styles. 

 There was some excellent improvisation from the various Jazz Groups and excellent solo singing from Charlotte Finnigan, Louisa Bass and Kristina Tomes.  The various Saxophone Groups grooved to a variety of jazz standards.  The Holles Singers gave a colourful rendition of Seasons of Love.  The Percussion Group performed two inspired arrangements by Mr Millett.  The Big Band played a cool medley of three pieces including Willy Nelson’s Crazy sung by Julia Armfield.   

The various rock bands with solo vocalists Susannah Chaytow, Fran Beaton, Amelia Kirk, Amelia Greco and Caitlin Breeze brought the concert to a spectacular end.  The Music Department would like to thank Miss Parker for her atmospheric lighting and Mr Appleyard for taking photographs.
