On Wednesday 28th September as part of Roald Dahl Day Celebrations, the whole of the Junior Department watched a live transmission given by Quentin Blake, one of Britain's best-loved and most successful illustrators and children's authors.

In the interview he mentioned how much he has enjoyed working with such an imaginative author as Roald Dahl. As he spoke he drew characters which he had illustrated in the past. The girls were very impressed with his illustrations and skills – several girls said they would like to be illustrators when they grow up.
