Oxford Lunch
This year, for the first time, we held lunch at Oxford University for Lower Sixth girls and LEH alumnae undergraduates at Oxford.
We were fortunate to be able to use the wonderfully grand North Schools wing of the Examination Schools, where everyone enjoyed a buffet lunch and glass of champagne whilst catching up with old faces and meeting lots of new ones.
Our pupils were eager to hear about life at Oxford and our alumnae were forthcoming with valuable insider information on courses, workload etc. Mrs Low and Mrs Hazel also enjoyed catching up with former pupils, finding out how studies were progressing at Oxford and sharing LEH news.
As an added bonus to top off the Oxford experience for our Lower Sixth, many alumnae were free in the afternoon to take girls on a tour of their College and in a couple of instances, their Faculty.
It was indeed an extremely pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon. We were delighted to see such strong support from our alumnae for the event and thank them for their valuable contribution to the day.
