All external applicants for entry to the Junior and Senior Departments must sit an entrance examination, and may also be interviewed.  Entry is competitive.

At 7+, the entrance examination includes Mathematics and English, at 11+ there is also a General Paper and a non-verbal reasoning test. For the Sixth Form, pupils sit papers in the subjects which they propose to study at AS Level alongside a General Paper which all candidates sit. Interviews are held as appropriate. The school will contact the current Head Teachers of applicants for entry to the Senior Department to request a reference. Additional details of the entry process are issued to all registered applicants, however we do not provide specimen papers.

The entrance examination for entry to the school in September 2012, for Year 3, Year 7 and other year groups, except Year 12, will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd 2012.

Sixth Form entry examinations will be held on Saturday, 12th November 2011. Transfer arrangements from our Junior to our Senior Department are explained in the relevant Admissions Policy.
