Our Aims
One of the earliest documents about The Lady Eleanor Holles School states that its aim is "to produce young women of grace and integrity". The present school continues to subscribe to that intention, and it is fundamental to our ethos.
|
Our Pupils
The school educates approximately 860 girls aged seven to eighteen, with around 180 in the Junior Department and 680 in the Senior Department. They come to us from a very wide catchment area, from as far north as Ealing, as far south as Cobham, as far east as Chelsea and as far west as Windlesham, from many different maintained and independent schools.
|
Our History
The Lady Eleanor Holles School is proud to be one of the oldest girls' schools in the country, and at the forefront of girls' education. It was established in 1711, when a trust for its endowment as a Christian foundation was created under the will of Lady Eleanor Holles, daughter of the second Earl of Clare.
|
Our Facilities
The school stands on a wonderful thirty acre site, its buildings surrounded by gardens and playing fields. This spacious environment allows a great range of outdoor sporting activities, and has also enabled us to build numerous extensions to enhance our facilities and the curriculum we offer.
|
Our links with Hampton School
The Lady Eleanor Holles School has very close links with Hampton School, indeed the close proximity of two such successful single-sex schools means that pupils-and parents-receive the 'best of both worlds' from such a fruitful partnership.
